Luminaries and the Simply Scored Scoring Tool!!
I love using paper to make 3-D projects! Now, you might be thinking that is a little over the top, that 3-D projects take too much time. Well, I’ve got the solution for you! The Simply Scored Scoring Tool makes creating 3-D projects faster and easier than ever! It fits 12" x 12" paper, has full rulers across the top and down the left side that are marked at every 1/8". Plus there is a centering ruler along the top edge. The unique design includes holes for place markers at every 1/8" interval. The markers are great for saving time when scoring multiple projects and for making 3-D projects, like boxes.
Storage compartments and a place for the included ergonomically designed stylus are great bonus features. The stylus has two tip sizes so you can choose which you prefer. The refined steel tip gets even smoother with use instead of wearing out like plastic tools do. With its sturdy yet lightweight design it doesn’t bow or slip around when you are scoring. You need to get your hands on this amazing tool so you can see for yourself how fun creating 3-D projects can be!
Luminaries that we made at my Stampin Up workshop using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Anniversary!!
Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our anniversary..... we have been married 33 years but have been living together for 35 years so we always add that 2 years!
We went walking and enjoyed the (unusual) warm weather outdoors. We just hung out with each other all day. Later in the evening we went to El Toro Bronco for dinner. It was delicious. After dinner the server came out and gave us a dish of fried ice cream with the words "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate syrup! (The server overheard our conversation about our anniversary when she came to take our order). That was a nice surprise! Fried Ice cream tasted like apple pie with ice cream, whip cream and chocolate syrup! It was soooo yummy.
I got some pretty roses and a card and he got his favorite..a HUGE bag of Hershey kisses with almonds packed in a SF 49er bag and a handmade card!
It really was a nice Anniversary.

It is finally FRIDAY!! All week I kept thinking it is Friday!! Why???
I made a few Valentine's Day Cards, (thanks to Debbie McNiel & Amy Barnes for the inspiration) I thought I would make a few so I can mail them out to family and friends. I made a couple of different styles but only took a picture of one...I will post the others later. They are treat cards. The treats stay put using a slider.
While I was making the Valentine cards I realized my Anniversary is on the 8th..I need to make an anniversary card for my husband!! I better "get to thinking"
Enjoy your Friday!

My Step Dad
My step dad had been ill for quite awhile. In and out of hospitals and inbetween he would be home with Physical Therapy, Visiting nurses etc. Then in early December I had to call 911 again. He had a stroke. He was in the hospital for a few days and then transferred to the Lompoc Rehab and Skilled Home. They were so compassionate and caring. He liked everyone there and they liked him.
On January 9th he passed away.
He was a sweet man, loving and kind. We will miss him.
This poem says it best
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Yummy!
I just got home from visiting my stepdad at the skilled nursing home. I was hungry but not that hungry...know what I mean.
I opened the fridge and saw the Almond Milk and a container of Vanilla Yogurt hmmm....then I grabbed some frozen fruit out of the freezer and made this yummy smoothie!
I didnt measure so this is an estimate.
4 cups almond milk
1/4 cup Vanilla Yogurt
1/4 cup chopped frozen Mango (from Trader Joes)
1/4 cup frozen whole Strawberries
put all ingredients in blender and chop until fine, then blend for 1 minute
I use my old faithful Osterizer, have had it for 38 years!!
