It has been a busy time for us.
I finally found some time to post some pictures of the Floats that made it in the Flower Festival Parade.The Floats were made from the flowers that grow in our area. Each flower is glued on one at a time. They were up all night preparing for the parade.
These pictures were taken after the parade. The floats are parked a long a side street so we can look and take pictures.
The large float was the Festival Queen and her court.
The weather was great for the festival weekend.
The parade was small this year, only a few Floats. I guess the Economy is to blame.

The Flower Festival and the floats are something the people in this town look forward to every year!
I am proud to have been one of the original participants in the construction of this float. From beginning to end, it was a spectacular experience. I find even more fulfillment reflecting on how all of our hard work paid off when this float recieved 1st place in the festival. On behalf of all of the original participants from Lompoc FCC (RDAP), we appreciate Mr. Speedy the most for this experience.
