Here is a card I made at my Upline Toni Pope's house using the Kindness Matters Stamp Set (which is on page 13 in the SAB Catalog) I also used Mocha Morning Specialty DSP, Whisper White CS, Scallop Circle Punch, Pacific Point CS,  Taffeta Ribbon Basic Black,Smooch Spritz in Silver, and Jewels Basic Rhinestones

I am now off to the craftroom to create some Valentine themed projects for an upcoming workshop!

My Step Dad

My step dad had been ill for quite awhile. In and out of hospitals and inbetween he would be home with Physical Therapy, Visiting nurses etc.  Then in early December I had to call 911 again. He had a stroke. He was in the hospital for a few days and then transferred to the Lompoc Rehab and Skilled Home. They were so compassionate and caring. He liked everyone there and they liked him.
On January 9th he passed away.
He was a sweet man, loving and kind. We will miss him.

This poem says it best

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Yummy!

I just got home from visiting my stepdad at the skilled nursing home. I was hungry but not that hungry...know what I mean.

I opened the fridge and saw the Almond Milk and a container of Vanilla Yogurt hmmm....then I grabbed some frozen fruit out of the freezer and made this yummy smoothie!

I didnt measure so this is an estimate.

4 cups almond milk
1/4 cup Vanilla Yogurt
1/4 cup chopped frozen Mango (from Trader Joes)
1/4 cup frozen whole Strawberries

put all ingredients in blender and chop until fine, then blend for 1 minute

I use my old faithful Osterizer, have had it for 38 years!!

Happy New Year!

I hope 2012 is a good and prosperous year for all of us.

A few years ago I stopped making  New Year Resolutions.
I just try and remind myself to stay POSITIVE and to try and keep NEGATIVITY away.

One day at a time....live in the NOW !
