I was asked to paint a two man wood cutting saw. It is big, heavy and very sharp. It is old .

I had to clean off the rust using vinegar and water and let it sit in the sun for a few days. I want a smooth surface so I didnt want to sand off the rust. I then put primer on it and again let it sit for a few days. I added one coat of paint yesterday and did the other side today. Tomorrow I will add the second coat and then paint the design. I thought I would post pictures as I go.

I am using acrylic paint, bungalow blue. They liked my rosebuds that I painted on my birdhouse and flower pot which I have on my etsy site. They want that as the background and then thier daughters name. I will post more pictures as I progress.

What a great idea to use a saw as a painting surface! And I love WIPs, so keem 'em coming!
